DO I NEED TICKETS?
No, for Fall Commencement, the guests of graduating seniors will not require a ticket for entry into the building. If needed, the Clyde Foster Multipurpose Room (Overflow Venue 1) and the James Dawson Building Auditorium (Overflow Venue 2) will be used for remote viewing of the Commencement Ceremony by guests that are unable to enter the gymnasium after it has reached capacity.
IS THERE A PARKING FEE?
No, Fall Commencement is being held on campus so there is no parking fee.
WHAT TIME SHOULD GUESTS BE THERE?
Guests of graduating senors should arrive at least 30-45 minutes prior to the beginning of the ceremony (which begins at 9:00am).
HOW LONG DOES THE CEREMONY USUALLY LAST?
We expect the ceremony to last no longer than two hours.
IS THERE HANDICAPPED PARKING?
Yes. Handicap parking is available but on a first come first serve basis.
WHERE DO I GET MY DIPLOMA?
Diplomas will be issued immediately after commencement in the room 7 of Elmore.
HOW CAN I GET AN OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT THAT SHOWS MY DEGREE?
Requests can be submitted in person, by mail, or online. A request for an official transcript made in writing must include all applicable names, social security number, date of birth, complete address, student’s signature and purpose of request. The request should include student’s full name, valid ID with social security number, dates of attendance, current addresses and the complete address to which the transcript should be sent. Transcripts cannot be produced for students that have a financial obligation to the university. More information is provided here.
WHERE DO I GET MY CAP, ROBE, ETC.?
These can be picked up in the Wellness Center if you have ordered them. See the checklist to make sure you have everything else in order as well.
