The mission of the Center for Extended Studies is to successfully plan,
develop, market and deliver programs of lifelong learning. This
includes collaborating with academic departments, the university
faculties, administrative offices, business agency entities and support
units of the university to design, promote and administer innovative
programs that respond to community needs.
The Center for Extended Studies-CES (Adult and Continuing Education) provides opportunities for professional/personal development and certification training. These programs are designed to meet the needs of the Huntsville/Madison County workforce and the lifelong aspirations of citizens, in the larger society. CES has no specific admission requirements, but there are nominal fees related to each course or program. Although there is no college credit earned, participants can receive certificates and Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
