Transfer Admissions Eligibility
- Previous institutions must be regionally accredited
- Minimum 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
- Minimum 12 transferable semester hours
- Minimum 18 transferable quarter hours
- Good academic standing
Transfer Credit Eligibility
The acceptance of transfer credits depend upon subject matter of each class and accreditation status of the institution awarding each credit. Not all transferable classes will apply to every degree program offered at Alabama A&M University. Consult our academic school coordinators to arrange an evaluation of credits.
You may transfer an unlimited number of hours - with the exception of technical, remedial (developmental), vocational and orientation credits. No classes with a grade below "C" are eligible for transfer.
Transcript Evaluation
Upon admission to Alabama A&M University, your transcripts will be evaluated for acceptance of transfer credit. Your advisor will determine the applicability of transfer credit toward satisfying degree requirements. Please consult with a coordinator in your desired program area for more detailed information.
Statewide Articulation Reporting System (STARS)
If you are transferring from a public two-year community college in Alabama, visit the STARS website (stars.troy.edu) to select a major and access a list of community colleges and core courses that will apply to your program of choice.
