Student Financial Aid & Scholarships

2024-2025 Presidential and Merit Scholarship Application

The Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships welcomes you to "The Hill". Whether you are a returning student or joining our campus community for the first time, our office is a resource that will be invaluable to you during your matriculation here at Alabama A&M University.

We don’t live in a perfect world. But Alabama A&M University (AAMU) was founded as a land-grant college, committed to the idea of an affordable education. Our goal is to help you understand the process of paying for your education and to help you access programs that will help make financing your education possible here at AAMU.

What you make of your education is the return on your financial investment. Is the cost of your education going to be worth the benefits reaped?

Statistics on those who get a higher education as opposed to those who do not offer overwhelming and proven evidence. Those who pursue a higher education will be more employable, adjust to career changes better, live a longer, higher quality life and make a much higher income.

We do ask you to remember that financial aid, like all the rest of your financial matters, is a resource that needs to be governed carefully. I urge you to review all the resources on this site and make your decisions wisely. And please do not hesitate to contact us should you have questions or need additional information.

We’re here for you

The primary mission of the AAMU's Office of Student Financial Aid & Scholarships is to make a quality education both possible and affordable. We realize that a college education will be one of the most important investments a student and family will make. We do also realize that the financial aid process can sometimes be a daunting endeavor. Our goal is to provide our students and parents with the necessary information and guidance needed to make this process as simple and as manageable as possible.
