AAMU IS:  About Students

When todays students are asked what is important in an optimal learning
​environment, they respond faculty expertise.  Even though they are the NET generation, the human side has not taken second place. At AAMU our students are engaged by faculty who are experts in their respective fields in an active and collaborative learning environment that includes student-faculty interaction, student-student interaction, participation in extracurricular activities, and interaction with peers outside of class.

Across AAMU’s campus, new types of learning spaces are appearing to facilitate the integration of formal and informal learning, such as the library, where small-group workspaces have been integrated, and in academic buildings, where smart classrooms encourage imaginative dialogue.
