Welcome to the home page for the Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. This office is responsible for the administrative oversight of the University's academic degree and non-degree programs as well as our educational support programs.
Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University (AAMU) is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to offer the Bachelors, Masters, Specialist and Doctoral degrees. The university offers these programs through the School of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, School of Arts and Sciences, School of Business, School of Education, School of Engineering and Technology, and the Graduate School. In addition to its regional accreditation, AAMU's academic programs hold specialized professional accreditations by a number of external organizations.
Also reporting to the Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs are the following units: University College, Office of Continuing Education and Nontraditional Programs (OCEANS), the Learning Resource Center and State Black Archives and Museum. Assisting in the administrative oversight of these units are the Associate Provost for Academic Affairs and Undergraduate Studies and the Associate Provost for Academic Affairs and Graduate Studies.
