Degree Offerings

​The department offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees. Specifically, the following degrees are offered through the Department of Finance, Agribusiness and Economics (FABE):

 

  1. Bachelor of Science in Finance 

  2. Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Science (with concentrations in Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness Management). This degree is offered under the auspices of College of Agricultural, Life and Natural Sciences

  3. Master of Science in Agribusiness 

 

The department also offers minors in finance, agribusiness and economics for undergraduate students.

The department endeavors to provide a cohesive, dynamic, forward looking and market-driven educational process that includes instruction, experiential learning, leadership development and research.

 and extension by providing baccalaureate and graduate studies that are compatible with the times and within the reach of all qualified, capable individuals who are interested in further developing their technical and professional skills.

 

The BS degree is finance is designed to prepare students for the 21st century financial industry. Students get exposure in financial management of corporation, government and non-profit organizations, management of various types of investment instruments, management of financial organizations, etc. Qualified faculty members with terminal degree in finance teach all finance classes. They are very dedicated in their profession and try to make sure that students learn and get the knowledge that will help them excel in their career.

 

The BS degree in Agricultural Science (with concentrations in Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness Management) and MS in Agribusiness provide undergraduate and graduate students  the required preparation, updating and upgrading the knowledge of Agribusiness, to work as professionals in the broader agricultural business related areas.  Special attention is given to identifying and meeting the needs of the highest levels of professional training.

 

In order to extend its creation, development, and testing of important ideas relevant to agribusiness, the faculty members in these programs seek to disseminate specialized knowledge and skills with appropriate individuals, organizations, and agencies at the local, state, national, and international levels through grant writing, training and workshop.
