Since its humble inception some 60 years ago, Councill Federal Credit Union has benefitted from the professional expertise and commitment of several qualified individuals. These men and women were responsible for CFCU's fiscal stability and for the initiatives that have sustained it to this very day.

CFCU's lengthy tradition of service continues in the embodiment of its able credit union manager and the dedicated customer service representative/loan processor.
and their families have had their dreams realized. Moreover, because of the credit union's stability, the University has been able, for nearly six decades, to offer its faculty and staff an additional long-term employee benefit.
Credit Union Manager
Rufus A. Gilmore, III
Rufus Gilmore, III, the manager of Councill Federal Credit Union, has amassed a long history of noble work in the fields of accounting and higher education. The Birmingham, Ala., native earned the Bachelor of Science degree in business
administration with an emphasis on accounting from Miles College. He later earned the Master of Business Administration degree in accounting from Clark Atlanta University. Gilmore pursued additional studies at the University of Georgia and Alabama A&M University.
In the area of higher education, Gilmore has served with distinction as a part-time accountant at J.F. Drake State Community and Technical College and as an assistant professor at Alabama A&M University, ultimately retiring from the latter.
Other experiences include service as an assistant director of financial aid at Miles College; part-time instructor, Lawson State Community College; part-time instructor, Oakwood University; and manager, accounting department, Miles College.
Gilmore has also been affiliated with the Institute of Management Accountants, National Association of Black Accountants, and the Center for Entrepreneurship and Economic Development at Alabama A&M University.

Because of her longstanding and incomparable customer service, Beverly Lucas possesses one of the best-known faces and voices on the Alabama A&M
Noted for her top-notch efficiency and speed, "Bev" makes every aspect of the credit union and loan process both human and endearing.
A native of Holly Springs, Miss., "Bev" has worked in the financial industry for numerous years, including more than a decade at CFCU. Her list of other experiences include service at First Alabama (now Regions), SouthTrust, and Central (now BBVA Compass).
She has been a resident of Huntsville, Ala., since 1985.
