In order for us to assist you with achieving academic excellence, Alabama A&M University has created the office of Veterans Affairs & Disability Services (VADS) to provide services to military, veterans, and their dependents. Additionally, the University has developed an unique concept within VADS known as the Access to Learning Program. This component provides equal access to individuals with disabilities to all educational programs, and ensures compliance with applicable federal laws.
This site is designed to familiarize you with the mission of VADS, services offered to our enrolled military, veterans and their dependents as governed by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), as well as to individuals with disabilities in accordance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and the applicable titles of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990.
