ATLA Religion Database (formerly known as the Religion Index) is the leading international database indexing citations in the scholarly fields of religion. It covers such topics as Biblical studies, world religions, Church history, and religious perspectives on social issues. The database consists of more than one million records covering the research literature of religion in more than 30 languages. Dictionary of Literary Biography (DLB) documents the lives and careers of authors from all eras and genres. In addition to providing biographical and critical studies written by scholars, DLB presents bibliographical information about each author’s writings as well as sources for further reading. EBSCOHOST Electronic Journals provides access to over 500 full text journals subscribed to by the Learning Resources Center.  The service may be used to go straight to a particular title or as a database of article references through the Article Search option.  Users are also allowed access to the table of contents and abstracts to thousands of e-journals not subscribed to by the LRC.Access:  On and Off-campus (requires authentication)

LITERARY REFERENCE CENTER  Literature Resource Center includes LRC, Scribner, Twayne US, Twayne English, and Twayne World Authors.  Access biographies, bibliographies, and critical analyses of more than 120,000 authors from every age and literary discipline. Scribner Writer's Series includes 15-20 page-signed essays on more than 1,600 authors and literary genres drawn from 13 acclaimed Scribner print series. Twayne World, US, and English Authors each contain the full text of 200 frequently used Twayne Literary Masters books on individual World, English authors, for a total of 600 full-text or US titles.  Access:  On and Off-campus (requires authentication)

The Modern Language Association of America, the MLA International Bibliography indexes critical scholarship on literature, language, linguistics and folklore. Coverage includes journal articles, series, monographs, dissertations, bibliographies, proceedings and other materials. The database includes all records indexed from 1963-Present, approximately 1,200,000 records.

MAGILL ON AUTHORS (click College and University)

MagillOnAuthors is a comprehensive reference database comprising information on over 1,500 notable authors. Compiled by Salem Press, MagillOnAuthors includes over 10 Critical Surveys and three Magill's Choice series, as well as World Philosophers and Their Works. This database offers approximately 3,000 articles and over 450 images and covers long and short fiction writers, poets, dramatists and philosophers.

MagillOnLiterature is the definitive online source for editorially reviewed critical analyses and brief plot summaries of the most studied works in the history of literature. Short Story Index is an index to approximately 65,000 short stories written in or translated into English that have appeared in collections and selected periodicals. Approximately 850 full-text stories are included. The coverage is back to 1984.

The Twayne Authors Series is the premier literary reference resource series comprising: Twayne's U.S. Authors Twayne's English Authors Twayne's World Authors. Each of these individual titles provides literary criticism for approximately 200 authors, bringing the total number of authors covered in the Series to nearly 600. Each author selected for coverage is tied to the high school and college curriculum.  It provides critical introductions to the lives and works of writers, to the history and influence of literary movements, or the development of literary genres.
