BTS shuttle buses will run continuously throughout the day and will resume service during anytime there is activity on campus.

No tickets, money, or reservations are needed.  Student, faculty, and staff park their cars in color-coded parking lots, and they can walk or ride the BTS to any point on campus.  the buses will run Monday though Friday.  Special services will be available during the weekends for residential students to be transported to and from the mall and other select shopping areas.

The Department of Transportation is located in Patton Hall Room 315, office hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Bulldog transportation System is owned by Alabama A&M university Transportation Department Overseen by the Office of the vice-President of Student Affairs.

All routes will be serviced as follows:

  • Between the hours of 7 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Monday – Friday, there will be four buses running continuously to serve all riders, with an average wait time of 15 minutes.

  • 9 a.m. – 2p.m. Monday- Friday, BTS will increase the operating fleet to 5 buses. The extra bus will service the increased demand on the Quad, men’s dormitories, West Campus and the stadium.

  • From 6:30 p.m. -11:00 p.m. Monday- Thursday, BTS will decrease the operating fleet to 2 buses due to a decrease in ridership and demand. There will be a maximum average wait time of 25 minutes. The two night buses will serve the Normal Hills (Councill Route), the Foster/ Terry/ Quad Route along with West Campus and the stadium.

  • Every Friday at 1:00 p.m. the BTS will transport students to Madison Square Mall and Walmart, the bus will return back to campus around 4:45 p.m. The BTS operating fleet will decrease to four buses to accommodate this activity. Please pick up your tickets on or before 10:00 a.m. on Friday at Patton Hall Room 315.
