Harriett J. Terry Hall
An All-Female Residence
Harriett J. Terry Hall bears the name of one of our early pioneers. Ms. Terry was born in New York in 1885. She entered college in 1906 and before graduating in 1910, she helped founded Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Ms. Terry came to A&M in 1922, where she worked as a professor and dorm counselor.
Terry Hall is a traditional four story female residence hall with 75 rooms. It houses freshmen in double occupancy rooms. It is equipped with a large student lounge, laundry facilities, mini-computer lab, community bathrooms with individual shower stalls, cable, community kitchen, wireless internet, and telephone services. Residents are allowed to bring a refrigerator that meets specifications.
