Getting Involved

The Office of Student Activities & Leadership Development (OSALD) is a student-centered department dedicated to individual and organizational development provided through quality services, programs, and activities in support of the academic mission of the University.  With over 115 registered student organizations, the office serves as the nucleus for social, recreational, cultural and individualized interests.  We extend exceptional student-centered programs, services and involvement opportunities which celebrate diversity, promote retention, foster leadership, and encourage civic engagement.  Additionally, we instill student empowerment, accountability, effective planning, and communication. The Office of Student Activities provides the resources, guidance, and support to enhance student achievements and activities while serving the interests of the college community. Our goal is to create a college experience that is more vibrant and purposeful, that focuses on learning and leading in an ever-changing environment, and that ultimately enables students to develop the necessary self-awareness and inspiration to become a catalyst to change the world.​

 

We encourage you to learn about the services we provide, the leadership opportunities available to all students, and the OSALD Staff!  Many of your questions may be answered on this site but you are welcome to stop by our office (Patton Hall, Room 311) anytime with your questions, ideas or concerns. It is our desire that you engage and create the type of college experience you always dreamed about by becoming an active student leader at Alabama A&M University!
