Gift Handling Procedure

 

 

Donation/Gift Handling Procedures

                                                                               

Advancement Services has updated the procedures for donation/gift handling.  All gifts/donations that are to be transmitted to AAMU Foundation should be handled as outlined below: 

 

1.       All donations are to be received by Advancement Services, 311 Patton Building.  Student fees, rental fees, registration fees, service fees, etc., are to be directed to the Business Office, 105 Patton Building.  Please refer to the AAMU Banking Policy for any questions concerning fees at http://www.aamu.edu/administrativeoffices/internalaudit/Documents/Bank%20Account%20and%20Foundation%20Account%20Policies.pdf

 

2.       All donations must be submitted before 4 p.m. to Advancement Services-311 Patton Building. 

 

3.       All donations MUST be accompanied by the NEW transmittal form found on the Advancement Services’ webpage at

http://www.aamu.edu/giving/pages/advancement-supporting-documents.aspx

 

4.       Donations should be delivered to Advancement Services -311 Patton Building, within two (2) business days of receipt of said donation.  Checks older than 30 days will not be accepted. 

 

5.       Checks and money orders should be made payable to AAMU Foundation.  Use the memo section of the check or money order to note the designation of the donation.
