It is with esteem pleasure that we, the Graduate
Student Council and its advisors, welcome new and returning students to our
beloved Alabama A&M University.
GCS was formed in the academic year of
2002-2003. Officials are elected to serve as a liaison between the
graduate student body and administration. The council has come a long way
since the academic year of 2003, and, blessed with a group of outstanding
leaders, it will continue to progress in the academic year of 2005-2006. I
would like to encourage you all to become an active part of your department's
graduate student association (GSA) as we fort forward meeting the challenges of
today's information driven society.
It is imperative that we, the student body, embrace the traditions
that have brought us thus far and expand upon them to sustain us for another
130 years. We must be committed more than ever in promoting the positive
uplifts of our prestigious institution.
To invoke change, you must first serve yourself, your family, and
your immediate community. With this I welcome you once again to what
promises to be an exhilarating and extraordinary adventure in Bulldog country!
