AAMU and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act

The 2009 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) was approved by Congress and signed into law by President Obama on February 17, 2009.   The  Act is also known as the Stimulus Bill because it was designed to stimulate the American economy due to the economic crisis.    The stimulus package includes Federal funds for education, workforce development, saving and creating jobs, energy efficiency, health care, social services and other public and private entities.   The ARRA will have a positive  impact on  helping Alabama  A&M University  preserve and protect its land grant missions and functions.

The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) is responsible for ensuring financial transparency for ARRA funds.  This website will allow the public to review all ARRA funds awarded to AAMU.  The table below will be updated on the tenth day of each month to reflect awards received and proposals submitted as of the previous month.
