AAMU Joins UCMBC to "Serve the City"

Dr. Larry McDaniel, chair of the Department of Management and Marketing, College of Business and Public Affairs; Dr. Constance Adams, interim director of University College; Mrs. Bert Mathews, coordinator of Hub A Serving the City at Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church; Mrs. Mindi Thompson, advisor and coordinator, University College; and Mr. Gregory Dees, senior executive on loan from NASA Headquarters.
 
 

Alabama A&M University has formed a team to initiate the first partnership between Alabama A&M University and Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in the annual Serving the City Day.  The event will take place on April 13.

 

All students, faculty, staff, and alumni of Alabama A&M University interested in serving are requested to register online before April 2.  Persons registered will be entered into the database and assigned to a task/project.  All volunteers from Alabama A&M University needing a ride to Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church on the morning of April13 should contact Gregory Dees at (256) 372-5089. 

 

A bus will leave from the Alabama A&M University Wellness Center at 7 a.m. to arrive at Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church by 7:30 a.m.  All volunteers will check in and will be taken to their worksite or given assignments no later than 8:00 a.m. Please join AAMU in earnest fulfillment of its motto: "Service is Sovereignty".
