Students in the Upward Bound Bridge Program at Alabama A&M University performed a special philanthropic act this summer.
Group members collected hats, caps and scarves to present to females at The Cancer Center of Huntsville (TCC) who have lost their hair due to cancer and/or cancer treatments. Accepting on behalf of the patients was TCC financial counselor and AAMU alumna Toya Williams. Pamela H. Thompson directs TRiO-Special Programs, under whose umbrella the Upward Bound program falls.
Taking part in the July 26 presentation of items were (l-r) Dr. Dave Washington, Jr., Upward Bound Bridge Program residential manager; students Dana Brown, Jason McClain and Brittney Reed; Toya Williams, TCC; students Raven Timmons, Jonathan Sanders, Matthew Vincent and Kylan Riley.
