Huntsville, Ala. ---- Alabama A&M University Graduate School is holding a unique event designed to sell its graduate degree offerings to key decision makers on college campuses throughout the Southeast.
Through its own “Open House” on Saturday, February 23, AAMU will provide
graduate school information to participating career placement professionals from throughout the region. A series of informational sessions are part of a program scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Clyde Foster auditorium of the College of Business and Public Affairs.
"This event focuses on career placement professionals because we believe that when they experience first-hand our many offerings, they will become our most loyal advocates," says Dr. Vann Newkirk, associate provost and dean of the graduate school.
Event organizers have arranged for a limited number of complimentary hotel rooms for professionals interested in the activity. Moreover, transportation will be provided from the host hotel to and from the historic AAMU campus.
Following the main informational session, participants will be taken on a brief campus tour, as well as a tour of notable points of interest in Huntsville.
The graduate program at AAMU offers several master’s degrees and doctoral degrees in the areas of food science, physics, plant and soil science and reading/literacy.
