Information for Mentees
Mentee requirements:
- Participate in the program for at least one year;
- Participate in CLMP activities, events, and workshops;
- Honor appointments with mentors;
Act professionally and cordially at all times;
- Complete CLMP application by August 30, 2009;
- Contribute to the CLMP newsletter; and
- Make contact with mentors to discuss problems or issues.
Benefits of being a mentee:
- Meet and interact with students, faculty and professionals from your major;
- Early involvement with a community of your peers;
- Develop relationships with individuals with similar interests on campus;
- Assistance in understanding campus services;
- Develop friendships and associations on campus and in the workforce;
- Assistance in utilizing campus resources that can assists in academic success;
- Enhance career and professional development;
- Increase connection with the university; and
- Motivate students to persist until graduation.
