Mission

The mission of the Agricultural and Environmental Sciences Research Program at Alabama A&M University is to conduct both basic and applied scientific research programs that are designed to:

  • Improve the productivity of agricultural and natural resource systems in the State of Alabama and the nation, while maintaining a quality environment.
  • Develop new and improved agricultural and natural resources techniques that will be beneficial to the people of Alabama, the nation and others countries.
  • Improve the socioeconomic status of urban and rural residents in the state of Alabama.
  • Train undergraduate and graduate students in both the-basic and applied agricultural research areas.
