Mission

To provide P-12 undergraduate and graduate teacher candidates and other school personnel with professional and discipline-based knowledge, abilities, and dispositions that (1) help all students learn, and (2) lead to a State of Alabama Professional Educator's Certificate.

Policy Statement

Teacher Education Programs are approved by the Alabama State Board of Education.  Because of the nature of Teacher Education programs, and because of State Certification changes that may occur, the School of Education reserves the right to change the requirements in each Teacher Education Program as necessary. It is the sole responsibility of the student to be aware of, and to follow, his/her State-Approved Teacher Education Program as shown on the appropriate State-Approved Checklist.
