What are ALSAMP Scholars?
ALSAMP Scholars are a select group of individuals that are known for their excellence in academic coursework. Each student is required to maintain a 3.0 or higher GPA and they must be pursuing a career in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
What is an ALSAMP Scholarship?

The ALSAMP Scholarship pays tuition and fees.

Scholarships will automatically be transferred to a students account in the Fall and Spring Semesters of each year. ALSAMP is not responsible for any additional fees.
Program Requirements and Guidelines
- Scholars have weekly participation in ALSAMP Resource Center activities related to their academic major, including research, studying, tutoring, mentoring, and preparing for the GRE.
- Scholars serve as facilitators and provide assistance with all ALSAMP/AAGEP campus workshops and conferences.
- Scholars must maintain the status of a full-time student in good standing.
- Scholars must maintain a grade point average of 3.0.
- Scholars must major in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics.
- Scholars must serve a minimum of five (5) scheduled hours in the Drop-In Center each week during the academic year.
Scholars have the opportunity to be selected to participate in research experience in their junior or senior year.
