Corporación Universitaria Minuto de Dios (UNIMINUTO) and Universidad de La Sabana (La Sabana) have partnered with Alabama A&M University (AAMU), in order to develop an innovative exchange program to support small businesses. The overall goal of the "From Intention to Action" program is to enhance in students the birth and growth of an entrepreneurial mindset based on an open innovation approach while having a tangible impact on small businesses from underserved communities in the U.S. and Colombia. The main objectives of the program are:
• To engage with local entrepreneurs and managers to help them solve current challenges that their companies are facing.
• To develop an entrepreneurial mindset and competencies to work in interdisciplinary, cross-cultural teams to identify new products/services/processes to overcome these challenges and support local businesses.
• To develop a long-term relationship between AAMU, UNIMINUTO, and La Sabana.
