AAMU Food Service Director Felicia Wilson with Aramark CEO Eric J. Foss

Huntsville, Ala. ----- A long-time Aramark food service director at Alabama A&M University has been named among that company’s 200 Ring of Stars and was recently recognized during an exclusive celebration at a lavish resort in Boca Raton, Fla.

AAMU food service director, Felicia Wilson, has enjoyed a 50-year affiliation with the national food service operation. Wilson and other 2018 Ring of Stars members were praised for their "dedicated, talented and incredibly hardworking service," by Eric J. Foss, Aramark’s Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer.

According to the Philadelphia-based Aramark, the 2018 Aramark Ring of Stars class is comprised of "frontline employees who proudly serve the company’s customers and clients as chefs, cashiers, stadium hawkers, servers, route drivers, custodians and in many other roles."

"The whole affair was first-class all the way," commented Wilson, a Huntsvillian and mother of four boasting nearly 50 years of marriage. "They [Aramark] sent a car to pick us up and take us to the airport. There was a car to pick us up and carry us to the resort. I saw more food than I have ever seen in my life! Then they brought us back. I really hated to leave!"

Wilson says she was elated to be among those lucky few individuals who were selected from among more than 270,000 Aramark employees from 22 countries around the world. A highlight of the festive celebration, says Wilson, was her recognition for 50 years of service by Aramark CEO Foss, who presented Wilson and her husband Bob with a top-notch cruise experience.

This year’s class was selected from more than 1,200 nominations from around the world where Aramark operates. The Ring of Stars winners received an all-expense paid trip to attend the special program honoring them in Boca Raton, Fla. Ring of Stars winners also enjoyed entertainment and activities throughout the four-day event that was designed especially for them.

Wilson has served in the capacity of general manager of AAMU Dining Services/Aramark for more than 20 years. She received the Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from AAMU. She and her husband, Robert, are the proud parents of four children and three grandchildren.
