AAMU Chemist, Physicists Contribute to New Book

 

 

An alumna and associate professor of chemistry at Alabama A&M University has contributed a key chapter to a new textbook "devoted to the special characteristics of lanthanides chemistry."

 

Bhat2.jpgDr. Kamala Bhat (r) and colleagues--R.S. Fontenot (recent Ph.D. graduate), W.A. Hollerman and M.D. Aggarwal--contributed chapter three of the new book, Euporium: Synthesis, Characteristics and Potential Applications, edited by Mohamed S.A. Moustafa.

 

The team contributed a chapter focusing on "Highly Triboluminescent Euporium Dibnezoylmethide Triethylammonium."

 

Bhat earned the M.S. degree from the University of Bombay and a Ph.D. degree in plant and soil science from Alabama A&M University.
