OUR MISSION
The Office of Admissions serves as the catalyst in identifying students for admittance to the university by promoting the visibility of the University to prospective students in high school, school counselors and the general public. The primary responsibility is to attract, admit, enroll and assist in retaining a diverse and qualified student body for the University.
The staff works collaboratively with all departments on campus to ensure enrollment success in accordance with the university’s goals of high academics and student-centered standards and achievements.

AAMU’s campus boasts state-of-the-art facilities to enhance your living and learning environments. Top-notch resources, programs and services help you make the most of your experience. There are 93 student organizations in which you can hone your professional and personal skills.
AAMU’s serene, intimate campus is situated on “The Hill,” only a short distance from downtown Huntsville and in the midst of the Mountain Lakes region of North Alabama. The beauty of the area, the quality of entertainment and the variety of recreational activities are all part of the AAMU experience.
