BTS shuttle buses will run continuously throughout the day during the fall and spring semesters. There will be limited service during the summer months (See Schedules). 


No tickets, money, or reservations are needed.  Students, faculty, and staff should park their cars in the color-coded parking lots (See A&M Transit Map), and they can walk or ride the BTS to any point on campus.  The buses run Monday through Friday (Schedules listed below).

  

The Bulldog Transit System is owned by Alabama A&M University Transportation Department and is overseen by the Office of the Vice-President of Business and Finance.

                                                                                                                   


BTS SUMMER SCHEDULE

Hours of Operation

Councill Route

Starts from Normal Hills Apartments, onto Chase Rd to the Agricultural Building, T.M. Parker Building, Engineering Building, the Dawson Building and the transfer station.

 

Monday – Thursday

 

7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Bulldog Route

Runs from West Campus to Elmore Gym, Louis Crews Stadium (by request), across Meridian Street, Patton Hall, BTS Transfer Station, Ralph Lee Student Center, Bibb Graves, and Drake Hall. 

 

Monday – Thursday

 

7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Routes will be serviced as follows during the Fall & Spring Semesters:


Main Routes


Bulldog (Elmore Gym, West, Quad): Continuous loop

7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Monday - Friday 

 

Drake (Foster, Terry, Quad): Departs every 15 minutes from Foster Complex.

Route Schedule 

7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Monday - Thursday

7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Friday 


Councill (Normal Hills): Departs every 20 minutes from Normal Hills.

Route Schedule 

7:30 a.m. - 6:50 p.m. Monday - Thursday

7:30 a.m. - 5:50 p.m. Friday

 

Paratransit: Continuous loop until 7:30 p.m.

7:30 a.m. - 10:30 p.m. Monday - Thursday

7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Friday 

 

Auxiliary Routes 

West Campus, Quad, Terry: 

9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Monday - Friday

 

Foster, Quad, Parker 

9:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Monday - Friday

 Let's Go Shopping!

During the Fall and Spring semesters, the BTS will transport students to Madison Square Mall, Wal-Mart, and Target. The bus will leave campus every Friday at  2:00 p.m. and return back to campus by 6:00 p.m. You can register online or by come by the Department of Transportation, 315 Patton Hall,  Monday - Thursday from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and on Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. There is no charge for the Mall trip, but you must have a ticket to ride. Also, there is a minimum requirement of 20 passengers for the trip, so call up your friends and "let's go shopping".
