Who is Eligible?
To be eligible for TRiO-Student Support Services the potential participant must:
Be a citizen of the United States or meet residency requirements for Federal student financial assistance
Be enrolled or accepted for enrollment at the institution
Have an academic need
Be a potential first-generation college student; and meet an income criteria
Be a potential first-generation college student; or meet an income criteria
An individual with disabilities
Academic Needs Include:
High School GPA below 2.5
ACT score of 18 or Below
SAT score of 900 or Below
Placement in Transitional Courses
Math placement below Math 112
Placement in Reading 100 or 150
Placement in English 100 and 100L
Inadequate course preparation
No career choice
Undecided major
Failed courses in high school/college
Other
Participant Expectations
Persons admitted to the program are expected to:
Participate in program activities
Meet with assigned program specialist weekly
Attend tutoring sessions
Attend workshops and seminars
Participate in cultural events
Remain in program until graduation
