The Ernest L. Knight Living and Learning Complex was constructed in 2006. It is named after one of A&M’s most generous donors, Dr. Ernest L. Knight. A native of Evergreen, Alabama, Dr. Knight graduated from A&M in 1953, with a B.S. in Agriculture before moving on to pursue his doctorate. Dr. Knight never forgot his roots, and has given back to his alma mater admirably.
Knight Complex is a 5 story suite style facility with 95 suites on the east wing and 88 suites on the west wing. It houses upper-class females in spacious 2 bedroom/2bathroom suites with a common area shared by the four occupants. One microwave and one refrigerator are provided for each suite. There are study lounges on each floor for each wing, laundry facilities for each wing, cable, wireless internet, and telephone services. Amenities in the complex include a cafeteria, computer lab, bookstore, Greasy Spoon 2, hair salon/barber shop, and ice cream shop.
