Requirements:  Submit application, two letters of recommendation, transcript, 


survey, and one-page essay on “The Importance of Mathematics and Science in


Society” – STEM Academy, P. O. Box 710, Normal, AL  35762




 
 
 

Sponsor:  College of Engineering, Technology, and Physical Sciences

 
 
 

Target:   A four-week non-residential summer enrichment program for high 


school students with strong interest in mathematics and engineering. Students 


will explore the many different fields of engineering through activities, 


competitions and field trips. For students having completed grades 9-11.

 Pre-Freshman Bridge Program

Focus: A two-week residential program designed to introduce participants to 


mathematics skills and background information that will help them to advance in 


their college pursuits. This year’s theme: “Engage”, Connecting to a World of 


Possibilities through STEM Education. It also acts as a forum for the exchange 


of information and procedures to enhance each student.

Requirements: Students must be accepted to Alabama A & M University as 


well as have declared their major within the College of Engineering, Technology, 


and Physical Sciences. They must pay their enrollment registration fee and 


housing fee before or on July 6th.

 





Duration:  July 12 – 23, 2015
