fifty percent (50%) of the time on campus,

A course scheduled for Tuesdays &
Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. – 10: 20 a.m.
will only meet each Tuesday, in the
classroom. The remaining learning
(Thursdays) will occur online,
asynchronously through Blackboard.
AMflex NO AMflex courses are live-streamed with an
in-person section of the same course.
Students enrolled in an AmFlex section will
participate in the course as a synchronous
online student, for the duration of the
course’s delivery.
An AMflex course is listed as an online
course scheduled from 11:00 a.m. –
12:20 p.m. on Tuesdays & Thursdays.
AMflex students log in to the selected
video conferencing tool to join the
campus-based class remotely.
Synchronous
Hybrid Online
NO Fully online course. Instruction occurs in
real-time with students participating in the
course with the instructor, through a video
conference tool. Course meets
synchronously at least fifty percent (50%)
of the time on an established schedule
with the other 50% being completed
asynchronously online. 
A course is scheduled for MWF 10:00
a.m. – 10:50 a.m. The course meets
every other class day or every other
week, via a video conferencing tool, like
Zoom or Collaborate.
The remaining learning will occur online,
asynchronously through Blackboard
Synchronous
Online
NO Fully online course. Instruction occurs in
real-time on an established schedule. (i.e.,
MWF 9:00 a.m. - 9:50 a.m.) Students
participate in the course together with the
instructor through a video conferencing
tool. Students submit assignments and
assessments online, through Blackboard.
A course is scheduled to meet MWF from
1:00 – 1:50 p.m. Students will attend
class via videoconference every Monday,
Wednesday & Friday from 1:00 – 1:50
p.m.
Asynchronous
Online
NO Fully online course. Instructional content
and materials are provided to students in
(Blackboard) Students participate in the
course at their own pace while observing
established timelines and due dates. 
This course is a “traditional online”
course with no synchronous/live course
sessions required. Instructional content is
already developed and available in the
course for students.
