September 13: Stop Bed Bug Infestation 101
This virtual webinar will focus on stopping bed bugs from making their way into your homes from overnight guests, vacations, hotels, and overturned apartments. Learn about prevention, controlling the population, and visually inspecting your home. Also, come prepared to ask questions at the end of the webinar.
September 27: Preventing Indoor Pests (ants, spiders, and roaches)
Control those unwanted pests in your home. This virtual webinar will focus on stopping ants, spiders, and cockroaches before they get started. This webinar will provide essential tips on using the correct mode of action to prevent these highly populating bugs from taking over your house.
October 11: Preventing Outdoor Pests (snakes, skunks, snails, and wildlife)
How can you stop the wild kingdom from coming around your home? This webinar will provide tips on discouraging wildlife, such as skunks, snakes, and other animals from setting up camp around your home. Also, this virtual webinar will provide advice on proofing your home from wildlife entry. Stay away, wild kingdom!
October 25: Fall and Winter Lawn Care
Summer is over for my lawn; now what? This virtual webinar will focus on preparing your lawn for the next season's beauty. What are cool-season and warm-season grasses? We will answer some common questions at the end of the webinar about maintaining your yard during the fall season.
November 7: Fall Pruning Class
It's time to cut back; why, and how? This virtual webinar will focus on trimming, cutting, and planting in the fall of the year. The webinar will allow the participants to understand why it is essential to prune shrubs and trees in the fall.
November 22: Holiday Season Toxic Plants
What plants are we bringing into our home that is toxic to our pets, family members, and the air we breathe around the holiday seasons. This virtual webinar will discuss the different types of plants that may harm you and your family during this holiday season.
Brief Bio of Presenter:
Marcus Garner is an urban regional Extension agent for Alabama Cooperative Extension System at AAMU. He serves Madison and Limestone counties with programs in home grounds, gardens, and home pests.
