2021 Alabama Goat and Sheep Summit

Join Alabama Extension’s Animal Science Team at Alabama A&M University for a field demonstration tour to learn how goats can be a sustainable option to control understory vegetation in forestland.
Team members will demonstrate the following animal management practices:
• Parasite Management: FAMACHA scoring
• Breeding Management: Heat Detection in Goats
• Drugs, Disposal, & Downstream Effects
In addition:
• Learn animal trivia: Fun facts about goats and sheep
• Go on a hayride, win prizes, and much more.
Who can attend?
• Goat & sheep producers
• Forestland owners
• Youth/students
• Anyone considering raising goats in future
