Dementia Friendly Alabama - Webinar Series

Virginia Caples Lifelong Learning Institute Spring 2022 Courses & Activities
Online with Zoom. Register: www.aces.edu/go/DementiaFriendly
Imagine a community where people with dementia feel included, respected, and valued, and where they can participate in activities that are meaningful to them.
Dementia Friendly is much more than simply being kind to those impacted by dementia. A dementia-friendly community is one where those living with Alzheimer’s and their care partners feel respected, supported, and included in everyday community life. Join the sessions to learn about dementia and resources for families and communities.
February 3, March 3, April 14, & May 12.
Presenter: DeLane Poague, Dementia Friendly Alabama Project Coordinator
Brief Bio of Presenter: DeLane Richardson is the new Dementia Friendly Alabama coordinator. She formerly served as a community ombudsman representative for Central Alabama Aging Consortium, Area Agency on Aging, where she advocated for patients and residents of nursing homes, boarding homes and assisted living facilities in Montgomery, Autauga, and Elmore counties.
