AAMU-RISE is the contracting entity for Alabama A&M University. We can serve as either a prime or a subcontractor to manufacture products or provide innovative services. We execute contracts for research and development, with expertise in defense, aerospace, cybersecurity, sustainable energy, food production, and emerging biotechnologies. Leveraging the full range of Alabama A&M University’s research disciplines, along with strong business management leadership, we deliver innovative solutions that exceed contract expectations.

our MIssion

Founded in 2014, the Research, Innovation, Science and Engineering (RISE) at Alabama A&M University was established to pursue and execute contractual research and development opportunities. This is achieved by:

• Developing and administering contracts executed by AAMU faculty and the university's affiliates.
• Promoting and aiding in the fulfillment of the research, services, and educational functions of the university.
• Using and applying the whole or any part of income and principal exclusively for charitable, educational, and scholarly purposes.
• Teaming with companies seeking government contracts with HBCU partners who can provide ongoing research relative to emerging technologies.
