Student Handbook
Dear Bulldogs,
The Office of Student Affairs extends a warm welcome to each of you. Your time on “The Hill” should be one of tremendous personal and professional growth, learning, and exploration, but within the boundaries of guidelines that protect the rights of the entire Alabama A&M University family.
This handbook is made available to each student at Alabama A&M University on the Student Affairs’ webpage. Information herein has been carefully assembled to address topics of general concern, interest and use to the student body. This handbook describes the expectations for behavior and conduct in the AAMU community and outlines the procedures to be followed when these expectations are not met. It is your roadmap to “Life on the Hill.”
Although this handbook is designed to be an invaluable resource to you, it should not deter you from interacting with members of the University’s administration, faculty, and staff. Toward that end, we encourage you to ask questions as needed for clarity and understanding. Residential students are encourage to become familiar with housing regulations by visiting Housing’s webpage.
If you have questions, feel free to visit the Office of Student Affairs located in Patton Hall – Office 205, or call us at 256-372-5233. Once again, welcome to the Alabama A&M University community, and we wish you well throughout your journey on “The Hill.”
Sincerely,
Dr. Braque Talley
