Experiential Learning Program

“Experiential Learning Opportunity” (ELO) is used to describe the College of Business & Public Affairs credit-earning co-op, internship, or field study that will allow students to combine classroom-based education with practical work experience while further developing soft skills.

The mission of the ELO Program Office is to produce graduates with competencies and abilities to apply conceptual knowledge to relevant real-world business and social problems. We believe that when students are given opportunities to learn in authentic situations like those provided on co-ops and internships, the learning becomes significantly more effective.

Our ELO program prepares our students to…

  • Engage professionally by developing their networking, team building, presentation, and corporate communication skills
  • Evolve as innovative critical thinkers and problem solvers who take ownership of their professional journey and beyond
  • Emerge as highly sought-after solution-driven leaders ready to serve and add value to your business.
