Alabama Extension’s Home Grounds Team knows that for a school’s outdoor classroom to be successful, the garden must be grown and maintained correctly. STEM in the Garden will train teachers on basic gardening principles, ways to align the Alabama gardening calendar with your school year calendar, and solutions to common problems associated with outdoor classrooms.
Strengthen your garden knowledge and maximize your school garden’s STEM teaching capabilities. Participating schools will receive a free turnkey raised bed garden.
3 CEU credits are available per day through Powerschool. Register by June 1.
This workshop is open to teachers, school staff, and outdoor classroom volunteers.
