Bulldog Parent University
Bulldog Parent University includes a webinar series hosted by the Office of Student Leadership & Engagement with support from departments across campus intended to help first year parents and families understand how to best support their student(s) while attending Alabama A&M University.
This series of webinars are hosted monthly on Zoom from 6:00pm – 7:30 pm CST. The schedule of upcoming webinars is below. Check the Parent Portal for the Zoom links.

- August 18, 2025: Living and Learning at AAMU
This session focuses on student safety, dining services, financial aid awards, payment plans, and FERPA.
- September 15, 2025: Student Engagement and Involvement, Civic Engagement
This session covers student leadership and involvement opportunities, mentorship, academic and professional opportunities, and empowerment.
- October 20, 2025: What's On Your Mind?
This session covers mid-year updates as well as ways to support your student's mental and physical wellbeing as they approach midterms and the last leg of the semester.
- November 17, 2025: On to the Next!
This session will cover end of term updates, preparation for holiday move out, and university counseling and disability services.
- January 26, 2026: Securing the Bag!
This session will cover student conduct/decision-making, auxiliary services, and more.
- February 23, 2026: What’s On Your Mind?
This session will focus on student safety, mental health, and wellness.
- March 23, 2026: Spring AHEAD!
This session will focus on steps for registration for Summer and Fall semester, academic support, and learning resources.
- April 20, 2026: On the MOVE!
This session will focus on moving out procedures and upcoming housing application requirements.
