Diann H. Greer Career Closet

The Career Closet is a free resource designed to support Alabama A&M University students as they prepare for professional opportunities. Whether you are interviewing for a job or internship, attending a career fair, giving a presentation, or participating in a professional event, the Career Closet provides access to professional attire and related items at no cost.

Our goal is to remove financial barriers and help students feel confident, prepared, and professional as they pursue career and leadership opportunities.


What the Career Closet Offers

Students may browse and select a variety of professional and business clothing items, including:

  • Business suits (men’s and women’s)

  • Dress shirts and blouses

  • Slacks, skirts, and dresses

  • Blazers and jackets

  • Ties, belts, and other professional accessories

All items are available free of charge to currently enrolled students.

Monday – Friday
9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

No appointment is required.


Who Can Use the Career Closet?

The Career Closet is open to all currently enrolled Alabama A&M University students. Students are encouraged to visit whenever they need professional attire for career-related activities.


How It Works

  1. Visit the Career Closet during operating hours.

  2. Browse available items in your size and style.

  3. Select the items you need.

  4. Complete our brief checkout survey.
  5. Take them with you—no cost, no return required.

Inventory varies based on donations.


How to Donate

The Career Closet welcomes donations from faculty, staff, alumni, and community partners. Click here to access the Career Closet Donation Form. Forms are also available in the Career Closet. 

Accepted Donations

  • New or gently used professional clothing

  • Clean, modern, and career-appropriate items

  • Accessories such as ties, belts, and scarves

Donation Guidelines

  • Items should be clean and in good condition

  • Clothing should be suitable for interviews, internships, and professional events for today's student

Drop-Off Information

Donations may be dropped off at the Career Closet during operating hours or coordinated by contacting Mrs. Donielle Jefferson-Williams at donielle.jefferson@aamu.edu.

Departments, student organizations, alumni groups, and community partners are encouraged to support the Career Closet through:

  • Corporate or organizational donations

  • Volunteer assistance
