Information for Investiture Delegates

Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University is honored to have you participate in President Daniel K. Wims'  Investiture Ceremony as a representative of your distinguished institution. You may register now using the delegate registration form at the bottom of this page. After you submit your registration, more information will be sent to you.

REPORTING FOR THE INVESTITURE CEREMONY, ATTIRE and ROBING

The Investiture Ceremony will take place at 10 A.M., Friday, April 29th, at the Thomas M. Elmore Gymnasium,  which is located on the campus of Alabama A&M University. Delegates and Ceremonial participants should arrive by 8:30 A.M. with their academic regalia and report to the lobby for check-in. Volunteers will direct delegates participants to the appropriate room for robing. The processional lineup will begin at 9:45 A.M. in order to begin the Investiture Ceremony promptly at 10 A.M.

Each delegate will have an assigned position in the procession according to the year of founding of his/her institution. Please be robed by 9:15 a.m. so that we can assure the appropriate order of the procession. University staff members will be available for additional assistance.

SHUTTLE SERVICE

Delegates and Ceremonial participants staying in hotels listed on the website will be provided complimentary shuttle service to and from campus. Plan to take the 8:00 A.M. shuttle to report to the Thomas M. Elmore Gymnasium by 8:30 A.M.  

PARKING

On-campus parking for Delegates and Investiture Ceremony participants will be available in a designated parking lot.  The parking pass is included with the confirmation information.  Free shuttle service will be provided from main campus to Thomas M. Elmore Gymnasium. [Campus Map]
