Community and Regional Planning

About Us

The Department of Food and Animal Sciences was established in 1969 and has a long tradition of graduating students who have successful careers. We have achieved that by following a student-centered approach with faculty and staff who are committed to student success. We boast one of the highest graduation and employment rates (80-90%) with most of our graduates holding leadership positions in the industry (see our Alumni section).

WHAT YOU CAN LEARN FROM US

Welcome to the Department of Community & Regional Planning (DCRP) at Alabama A&M University. In the DRCP, we are committed to training students in sustaining and enhancing the quality of life in cities and regions, and designing livable communities. This student-centered program prepares graduates with the ability to enrich communities through leadership, entrepreneurship, creativity, social responsibility, sustainable planning and policy. Here is a snapshot of what we offer our students.

PREPARE FOR A BRIGHT FUTURE

The Department also supports upper level undergraduate students through the University’s Liberal Studies program, which allows flexibility in structuring an academic program of study best suited for their needs and goals.

The 21st century needs your leadership and academic skills. We’ll help you get ready.
