Background
Effective August 4, 2021, Alabama A&M University began requiring all individuals to wear face coverings. Individuals should wear either masks, gaiters, or face shields with masks in public areas on campus and the Bulldog Transit System (BTS). This requirement applies to all students, faculty, staff, vendors, and campus visitors, regardless of vaccination status. The mask requirement is based on the latest guidance from the CDC, the Alabama Department of Public Health, and medical consultants to the university.
Alabama A&M University continues to monitor the latest developments of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), as well as its Delta and Omicron variants.
