Academic Advising

The Academic Advising team is here to support your academic journey. The Office of Student Success Academic Advisors provide academic guidance and related services to students with 0-63 credits (Freshman and Sophomore classifications).
Students with 64+ credits are assigned to a faculty advisor in their major academic department.
Academic advisor supports students in:
- Understanding the purpose of general education and its relation to degree requirements
- Developing their academic and professional goals during their undergraduate experience
- Degree mapping for a four-year degree plan
- Utilizing the DegreeWorks graduation audit system to track academic progress
- Identifying and assisting with resolving academic issues related to academic progress and degree completion
- Connecting with personal, social, and financial resources that mitigate barriers to academic success
- Creating an Individual Success Plan if a student is experiencing academic difficulties
