Ernest L. Knight Living and Learning Complex
Male and Female Residence Hall
Knight Complex is a five-story suite-style air-conditioned residence hall, and it is home to nearly 800 undergraduate students. It houses upper-class males and females in spacious 2-bedroom/2-bathroom suites with a common area shared by the four occupants. One microwave and one refrigerator are provided for each suite. There are study lounges on each floor for each wing, free laundry facilities for each wing, cable television, and wireless internet.
Amenities in the complex include:
- Cafeteria on the west side of campus
- Subway
- Hair salon/barber shop
- Student Store.
History
The Ernest L. Knight Living and Learning Complex was constructed in 2006. It is named after one of Alabama A&M University's most generous donors, Dr. Ernest L. Knight. A native of Evergreen, Alabama, Dr. Knight graduated from A&M in 1953, with a B.S. in Agriculture before moving on to pursue his doctorate degree. Dr. Knight never forgot his roots, and he has given back to his alma mater admirably.
