The list goes on! The Write Place has compiled a list of scholarships for you.  By clicking the names of each scholarship listed below, you will be linked to the respective website to learn more about these opportunities.   

PIXELPLEX BI-ANNUAL STEM SCHOLARSHIP

Scholarship Deadline: Friday, June 5, 2020

Scholarship Award: $2,000

Eligibility Requirements: 

  •  Must be a citizen or a permanent resident of the United States
  • Must be enrolled (or accepted with plans to attend) in a college or university in the United States
  • Must be in the field of study related to science, technology, engineering, math (STEM), economics, or business.

 Essay Topic: The scholarship will be awarded to the qualified candidate who writes the most compelling essay on one of the prompts below.

  • Blockchain-Please focus on one industry or sector of your choice and describe how blockchain, in your opinion, will revolutionize it, and what existing problems will be solved within the next 3-5 years.
  • Artificial Intelligence-Choose an industry or sector where the application of artificial intelligence might be uncommon, in your opinion, and describe which existing problems will be solved as a result.

 

DANGERS OF VAPING SCHOLARSHIP

Scholarship Deadline: Monday, June 15, 2020

Scholarship Award: Up to $2,500 awarded

Eligibility Requirements: 

  • Must be an undergraduate student.
  • Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher.

 Essay Topic: What are the dangers of vaping and why do you choose not to vape?

 

THE JOHN FOY & ASSOCIATES STRONG ARM LEUKEMIA SCHOLARSHIP

Scholarship Deadline: Monday, June 15, 2020

Scholarship Award: $1,000

Eligibility Requirements: 

  • Must currently be enrolled as or will be enrolled as an undergraduate student.
  • Must have or have a loved one affected by leukemia.
  • This award is for U.S. students.

 Essay Topic: Write a 500 to 1,000 word essay on one of these three topic questions:

  1. How has living with your or your loved one’s leukemia affected your education?
  2. What adjustments have you made as student to accommodate your or a loved one’s leukemia?
  3. What one obstacle do people with leukemia face that you would like the general public to know about?

 

STOP-PAINTING SCHOLARSHIP

Scholarship Deadline: Monday, June 15, 2020

Scholarship Award: $1,000 

Eligibility Requirements: 

  • Must be a current graduate student or enrolled in an executive education program.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must enroll full time

 Essay Topic: Tell us what you know about how a visually organized workplace that uses visual cues and visual devices can make a company more efficient and productive. Include at least one real-world example that you've observed, studied or experienced academically or professionally to support your essay. Your essay should be a minimum of 750 words.

 

BILLY WELU BOWLING SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

Scholarship Deadline: Sunday, June 21, 2020

Scholarship Award: $1,000 

Eligibility Requirements: 

  • Must be a current undergraduate college student at time of application.
  • Must be an amateur bowler.
  • Must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
  • This award is for international and U.S. students.

 Essay Topic: Please tell us in no more than 500 words how this award and scholarship will positively affect your bowling, academic, personal goals 

 

AGAINST THE CURRENT SCHOLARSHIP 2020

Scholarship Deadline: Tuesday, June 23, 2020

Scholarship Award: $1,000

Eligibility Requirements: 

  • Must be a high school senior or current undergraduate.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanenet resident.
  • Must have a GPA of at least 3.0 or higher.

 Essay Topic: What motivated you to take a stance, and what did you learn from it? If you could make the same choice today, would you?

 

THE FIRST GENERATION SCHOLARSHIP

Scholarship Deadline: Tuesday, June 30, 2020

Scholarship Award: Up to $1,000

Eligibility Requirements: 

  • Must be a graduate or undergraduate student.
  • Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

 Essay Topic: In a 700-1000 word essay, describe your experience as a first generation citizen. Describe your own personal immigration success story as a first generation immigrant or the child of a first generation immigrant. Explain the struggles involved and what lessons the experience of being a first generation immigrant has taught you.

 

Do-Over Scholarship

Scholarship Deadline: June 30, 2020

Scholarship Award: $1,500 

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Be thirteen (13) years of age or older at the time of application
  • Be legal residents of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia
  • Be currently enrolled (or enroll no later than the fall of 2026) in an accredited post-secondary institution of higher education

 Essay Topic: "If you could get one 'do-over' in life, what would it be and why?" (250 words or less)

 

MYBIOSOURCE INC. SCHOLARSHIP FOR "S.T.E.M." MAJORS

Scholarship Deadline: Tuesday, June 30, 2020

Scholarship Award: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.

Eligibility Requirements: 

  • Must be enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited college or university for the upcoming fall semester.
  • Must intend to major in a STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) or related field.
  • This award is for international and U.S. students.

 Essay Topic: Include a 250 maximum word response on why you have chosen your intended college major and why you should receive the scholarship.
