Graduate Writing Studio

The Graduate Writing Studio is a writing service for graduate students provided by the Graduate Student Success Center (GSSC) in collaboration with The "Write Place." Here, graduate students receive one-on-one support for their writing as they work on completion of Master's Reports, Master's Theses and Dissertations. Contact the Graduate Student Success Center director, Taynetta O'neal or the Writing Center Director, Kem Roper to be assigned to a faculty tutor

Once you have been assigned to a faculty tutor, graduate students MUST commit to improving your writing skills, not just completing your final document.  In order to achieve this, you can make an appointment to meet with your assigned faculty writing consultant/tutor who will assist you with the writing process.

  • Students should make no more than two (2) appointments per week and only one (1) per day.
  • Each appointment should last between 45 minutes and 1 hour.
  • The review process has two phases. After working with faculty tutor for 1st review, student will be assigned to a second faculty tutor for 2nd review
