Netfloor USA Access Flooring Scholarship Program

Scholarship Deadline: Sunday, March 1, 2020

Scholarship Award: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.

Eligibility Requirements: 

  • Must be 17 years of age or older.
  • Must be a graduating high school senior planning to enroll or be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at a college or university in the United States.
  • Must be a legal U.S. resident.
  • Must enroll full time.
  • Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher (or the equivalent).

 Essay Topic:  Applicants are asked to submit an essay about (1) what you have done that exemplifies one (or more) of Netfloor USA’s core values and (2) how effective cable management can be useful in new building construction and/or renovations, especially within the context of ‘big data and ‘the Internet of Things'.

  

 SACHS FOUNDATION GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP

Scholarship Deadline: Friday, March 15, 2019

Scholarship Award: In previous years, the average amount was $6,000 annually

Eligibility Requirements: 

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  • Must be accepted to or enrolled in a graduate program.
  • Must be African and identify racially as African.
  • Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  • Must plan to enroll on a full-time basis.
  • This award is for U.S. students. 

Aspiring Author Scholarship

Scholarship Deadline: Tuesday, March 31, 2020

Scholarship Award: $1000 annually, non-renewable

Eligibility Requirements: 

  • Must be a current college sophomore or junior.
  • Must be a female.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  • Must be of African descent.
  • Must enroll full time.
  • Must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.
  • Must major in English, literature, journalism or a related area of study at a Historically Black college or university.

 Essay Topic: Candidate must submit an essay not to exceed 800 words on the topic "The Power of The Written Word." 

Unpublished Writers Award Application

Scholarship Deadline: Tuesday, March 31, 2020

 Scholarship Award:  $1000 annually, non-renewable

Eligibility Requirements: 

  • Must be a current college sophomore or junior.
  • Must be a female.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  • Must be of African descent.
  • Must enroll full time.
  • Must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.
  • Must major in English, literature, journalism or a related area of study at a Historically Black college or university.

 Essay Topic: Applicant must email an original, unpublished fiction work (short story or novel excerpt) not to exceed 2,000 typed words on double-spaced pages; and

Applicant must include a cover sheet with the following information: applicant's name, address, telephone number and email; 250-word biographical profile, including your writing goals and current status, and a photograph.
