Organizational Chart & Structure

The Division of Research & Economic Development, (R.E.D.), is responsible for creating and carrying out ambitious plans to significantly increase Alabama A&M University's research capacity. The R.E.D. receives annual funding from federal agencies and other sources. R.E.D. ensures that A&M complies with all applicable state and federal regulations when conducting research. 

The organization consists of five departments in the Division of Research and Economic Development. Government Affairs, Relations & Communications, RISE Foundation, Compliance, Project Initiative, Assistance & Intellectual Property, Office of Sponsored Program, and Institutional Effectiveness/Institutional Research which serves as the division's foundation. 

The faculty and staff at Alabama A&M University are recognized for their ongoing efforts to involve students in creative research and entrepreneurship. The University is devoted to providing staff support and the resources necessary to assist teachers and students to turn ideas into reality.
